Yesterday we had the annual principal year meeting in the MC club. I have been the cashier for 6 years now and this year I said I have to say no. It feels good to just be a member and not to be a part of the border fore a change. So this year I can concentrate on the driving and have nothing to do with “what are we going to do now”. Maybe I will miss it later.

Snart på ferie

So Christmas is over and I am back to normal. Physiotherapy, workout and grandchildren.
Lovely.
Well not quite, I have started thinking of what to bring on our next trip. We are going to Guyana in South America. We are going to live on a ranch in the rainforest among wildlife giants, snakes and anteaters.
We are going to see Kaieteur Falls with a single drop of 822 feet it is five times the height of Niagara Falls, but just a handful of tourists.

Saturday 6 of December we were at a Christmas showing for gymnastics. Grandchild Malene was a participant. The party for 5 to 6 year was pirates. It is always fun to see and some of the big ones are good. I arrived just in time to get on Grandmother Gunn Nora’s picture of Tor Arne, Markus and Kristi.

Saturday we had a before Christmas party called Julebord at my MC club.
We had a typical Norwegian Christmas dinner consist of rib, meat cake, sausage, sauerkraut and red cabbage. We also had some beer and a strong drink called akevitt. Fore Christmas party’s akevitt is a must.
Akvavit, also known as aquavit or akevitt, is a
Scandinavian distilled beverage of approximately 40% alcohol by volume. Its name comes from aqua vitae, the Latin for "water of life".
After dinner we had whipped cream with rice and sugar. So it was time fore drinks and dance, Lovely.
To day I just doing some work at the PC like writing a blog.

Bardame

Jeg skulle hjelpe til på klubben vår da vi hadde åpen fest.
Kult å dresse seg opp som bardame da. Det ble en stille aften da de fleste var engasjert annen steds. Jeg dro hjem tidlig men det var jo litt gøy da.

Last evening I attended a 4H meeting were my granddaughter Emilie is a member. Veme 4H celebrated their 10 year. The aspirants presented their work and projects this year. My daughter Kristi, Malene and Markus was also present. There was a presentation of some of what they have been doing these 10 years.
The aspirants entertained with songs, dances and sketches.

We had a lovely dinner and later coffee and cake. There were a lot of people there. We used the school house. I hope we can keep the school on Veme.

The four "H"s stand for Head, Heart, Hands, and Health. The organization serves over 6.5 million members in the United States from ages 5 to 19 in approximately 90,000 clubs.[2] 4-H clubs and related organizations now exist in many other countries as well; the organization and administration varies from country to country.
The goal of 4-H is to develop citizenship, leadership, and life skills of youth through mostly experiential learning programs. Though typically thought of as an agriculturally focused organization as a result of its history, 4-H today focuses on citizenship, healthy living, and science, engineering and technology
